If you're looking for activities to do this fall, I highly recommend Underwood Family Farms for a Pumpkin Patch experience that rivals all the rest! The farm features so many potential photo ops and there is something for everyone and all ages! First on our agenda was the pig races! They have a few race times throughout the day and each race they give the little piggies harder obstacles to make it more challenging! Cheer on your favorite bandana color and watch them run! There are tons of barnyard animals to pet and feed on the grounds including alpacas, goats, cows, horses, donkeys, bunnies, the list goes on and on! Next on our list was the Corn maze, which you could get to either by a tractor pulled wagon ride or by walking to the other side of the farm. We opted to take the tractor pulled wagon right there and walk back! The Corn maze was so cute and well put together, with numbered stops to read along the way with the story of Jack & the Beanstalk for kids to follow & enjoy! Once we made our way through the maze, we took a stroll through the fruit & vegetable & sunflower fields on our way back to the pumpkin patch. Before starting the decision making of picking our favorite pumpkins we stopped to enjoy a few Arnold Palmers to quench our thirst! They were so refreshing and included a little red vine straw which I thought was such a good idea to reduce the amount of waste from other paper or plastic straws. We loaded up one of the wheelbarrows (they have them in place of shopping carts!) and picked a few of our favorite pumpkins, gourds, and squashes and also picked up some amazing pumpkin butter (which we love to put on toast), carrots for our chicken noodle soup we planned on making for dinner, and a hay bale & some dried ears of corn to finish off our home & porch fall decorations! Overall it was the perfect Saturday Pumpkin Patch Fall outing! There were many other activities available such as face painting for the kiddos and many food vendors. You could definitely spend the whole day there! Make sure to wear comfortable shoes to walk around in as well as a cute fall outfit for the photo ops!
I decided on a leopard print tan colored skirt from BloomChic and a mauve colored sweater from Cotton On. I paired it with some fall/winter comfortable booties and a hat to complete the look! All in all I would say Underwood Family Farms is a must experience for everyone this fall!
